Intern Clingendael China Centre
The Netherlands Institute of International Relations ‘Clingendael‘ is a leading think tank and academy on international affairs. Through our analyses, training and public debate we aim to inspire and equip governments, businesses, and civil society in order to contribute to a secure, sustainable and just world.
The Institute has three departments: Research, Academy and Corporate Staff. Within the Research Department we are looking for a:
Intern Clingendael China Centre
28-32 hours per week
To support the Clingendael China Centre on upcoming projects and events, we are looking for a highly motivated Dutch-speaking student for an internship for a period of six months, starting preferably mid-November 2021.
Relevant tasks are:
- Editorial duties for various publications and newsletters in Dutch and English
- Collecting background material for research projects
- Assistance in organising various conferences and expert meetings (content and logistics)
- Common administrative and support work
Qualifications and experience
We would be interested if the following requirements are met:
- Applicants should be enrolled in a relevant Bachelor or Master degree programme (e.g. economics, global political economy, international relations) and eligible to work in the Netherlands.
- Applicants should be fluent in both Dutch and English. Strong Dutch and English writing skills are required. Chinese language skills are an advantage.
- Affinity with (global political) economy.
- Enthusiasm for China related topics and their policy relevance.
- Capable of working independently and being well-organised.
- Team player, capable of working under pressure.
Intern compensation
Interns receive a compensation of € 450 gross per month based on a 36 hours workweek.
