Last week, Ron Ton welcomed two Clingendael alumni who are newly posted to Brussels and The Hague.

Ambassador Od Och of Mongolia recently started in Brussels being responsible for the Benelux, the OPCW, EU and NATO. He joined the first training programme for Central Asia and Mongolia back in 1994. Mr. Aizaz Khan is the new deputy ambassador and deputy permanent representative to the OPCW at the Embassy of Pakistan in The Hague. In 2006, he attended the diplomatic training programme at Clingendael.

More and more alumni of diplomatic courses organised by the Clingendael Academy find their way to postings in The Hague or Brussels with accreditation to the Netherlands. At least 35 alumni are presently working in diplomatic functions at one of the foreign embassies in The Hague.
