The Clingendael Institute and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of the Republic of Costa Rica now formally share the objective and aspiration to continue and develop the institutional relationship between Clingendael Academy and the Foreign Service Institute of Costa Rica in particular.

The fruitful cooperation between the two institutions started last year, when two diplomats from Costa Rica participated in the training for diplomats from Latin America and the Caribbean. 

Only a few months later, Clingendael Academy conducted seminars on negotiation skills and capacity-building. Again diplomats from the whole region participated in the former, with staff of the Costa Rican Foreign Service Institute taking part in the latter.  

Clingendael is looking forward to maintaining and strengthening the partnership with Costa Rica.
