As part of the seventh annual Justice Stephen Breyer Lecture on International Law, Brookings will host Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya, Leader of Democratic Belarus, for a keynote address that examines democracy and human rights in Belarus. Afterwards, Constanze Stelzenmüller, Senior Fellow at Brookings, will join Tsikhanouskaya for a conversation on how the United States and Europe should support democracy in Belarus and the surrounding region. A panel discussion, with a.o. Bob Deen, on protecting democracy from both sides of the Atlantic will follow their conversation.
