Clingendael Academy has conducted its first Humanitarian Negotiations training in French in Dakar, Senegal.

Fifteen participants from IRC, Plan International, COHEB and Helen Keller International attended the three day course. Although the group was full of very experienced frontline humanitarian workers, the participants welcomed the practical framework and interactivity of the training.

It was the first time that the training was conducted in French, and it will open new doors for this programme. Participants commented on the need for further training in their regions.

With humanitarians working in Chad, Mali, Niger, Central African Republic, Senegal and Cameroon represented, we look forward to continue to strategically grow this offer to assist the work of humanitarian aid organisations.

The next training will be held in Abidjan, in February 2019.
