Minke Meijnders is a former Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. Her research is focusing on international security and defence. She is involved in scenario/futurebuilding studies, including the Clingendael Strategic Monitor, and projects on maritime security and peacekeeping missions.
Minke holds an MA in International Relations and International Organisation from the Rijksuniversity Groningen, with a specialization in International Security. She wrote her Master thesis on the evolution of the European approach to Security Sector Reform, by analyzing this concept along the security-development nexus. She has studied in Spain and Leuven and has done an internship at the Permanent Representation of the Netherlands to the EU, at the Political Security Committee in Brussels.
