Suzanne Oosterwijk is a former Training and Research Fellow at the Netherlands Institute of International Relations ‘Clingendael’. She joined Clingendael in April 2017 and develops training programmes for diplomats and other international relations professionals, with a focus on international security and diplomacy. 

Prior to joining Clingendael, Suzanne worked for Dutch NGO PAX, focussing on international humanitarian law, humanitarian disarmament, human rights, corporate social responsibility and socially responsible investment. She coordinated the global Stop Explosive Investments campaign for which she engaged with a broad spectrum of stakeholders, including financial institutions, international organisations, policy makers, diplomats and the defence sector. Furthermore, Suzanne has been involved with the Fair Finance Guide (Eerlijke Bankwijzer) in the Netherlands. 

Suzanne holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from Utrecht University, the Netherlands. She has a minor in Conflict Studies and completed a part of her studies at La Trobe University in Melbourne.
