Willem van den Berg

Until October 2018 Willem van den Berg worked for Clingendael’s Conflict Research Unit as a research assistant for the Private Sector Development and Peacebuilding Programme. In this capacity he conducted research on the role of the private sector in conflict affected areas.

Before joining Clingendael, Willem was a freelance journalist for Al Arabiya English in Saudi Arabia, and trainee with the European Commission in Brussels.

Willem holds an M.Phil in International Relations from the University of Oxford and a BA in Liberal Arts and Sciences from University College Roosevelt.
