The Hague Consensus on China-Europe Cultural Relations

25 Sep 2013 - 14:49

On 19-20 September 2013 the Clingendael Institute in The Hague hosted the second round of the China-Europe Dialogue on Soft Power, Culture and Diplomacy. About 40 cultural relations experts and practitioners from Europe, China and the US discussed China-Europe cultural relations and their role in strengthening overall cooperation and understanding between Europe and China. At the end of the conference the participating institutes reached the ten-point consensus published here.

The conference was co-organized by the Clingendael Institute, the Charhar Institute (China), the Institute for Foreign Cultural Relations and the Robert Bosch Foundation (Germany).

A short YouTube film, a Conference Report and a Policy Brief will be made available at the Clingendael website in the course of October.
