Beatrice Noun is a former Junior Researcher at Clingendael's Conflict and Research Unit, where she contributed to the Levant and Libya Research Programs. Her work focused mainly on Salafism and security in Libya and the potential opportunities for reform in Lebanon and Iraq. In general, she is interested in the political economy of development in fragile settings in the Middle East and North Africa.

Beatrice holds a BA in International Studies from Leiden University, where she specialized in the EU’s economic foreign policy towards West Africa, and the impact of these policies on West Africa’s sustainable development. Prior to becoming a Junior Researcher, she worked as an intern for the Conflict and Research Unit’s Libya Research Program in the areas of security and politics. She is currently completing her Master’s Degree in International Development at SciencesPo Paris.
