Eva Maas works for the Clingendael Research Department. Working on various projects she mainly focusses on Dutch foreign policy analysis on security, development cooperation and trade. In addition she is working on a Rule of Law project, and on a project identifying success- and fail factors for Dutch international defence cooperation.
Eva holds a LLM in International Law and the Law of International Organisations from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. During her studies she was Head of the Board at the Groningen department of the Netherlands Society for International Affairs, and worked as a student consultant on developing a new way for municipalities to implement Social Return. Before joining Clingendael she lived in Argentina, worked at an Colombian think tank on Transitional Justice issues and did an internship at the Department of International & Legal Policy Affairs at the Ministry of Defence in the Hague.
