Pieter Dijkstra joined the Clingendael Institute as a Junior Academy Fellow in June 2022. He coordinates professional training programmes for diplomats and policymakers on international security and diplomatic practices. Moreover, Pieter develops training modules on a variety of international security topics, such as hybrid threats.
Prior to becoming a Junior Academy Fellow, Pieter interned at the Clingendael Institute, he worked for a counter-disinformation organisation, and he was active within the youth think tank of the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Pieter holds an MA in International Relations in Historical Perspective (cum laude) from Utrecht University and a BA in International Studies (cum laude) from Leiden University.
