About the authors


Monika Sie Dhian Ho is General Director of the Clingendael Institute and is Vice Chair of the European Integration Committee of the Netherlands Advisory Council on International Affairs (AIV). She also lectures at the Netherlands School of Public Administration in The Hague.

Bob Deen is Coordinator of the Clingendael Russia and Eastern Europe Centre (CREEC) and Senior Research Fellow of the Security Unit of the Clingendael Institute. His research focuses on international security issues and multilateral cooperation, with a particular focus on Eastern Europe, Russia, the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Niels Drost is a Junior Researcher at the Clingendael Russia & Eastern Europe Centre and the EU & Global Affairs Unit. His research focuses on contemporary politics and security issues in Eastern Europe, the Caucasus and Central Asia.
