On 19 February 2025, the European Commission published its Vision for European Agriculture and Food Production. The Vision sets out how to ensure long-term competitiveness and sustainability for European agricultural and food sectors within the planetary boundaries that ensure thriving rural areas, food security and resilience.

The conference gathers representatives from the agri-food sector, policy makers, researchers, and experts from different EU Member States.

We will explore to what extent existing EU policies related to the agricultural and food sector contribute to the sector’s resilience and what changes of policies and instruments would be needed in light of the Vision of the Commission.

Our discussions will focus on:

  1. The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) and the Multi-annual Financial Framework (MFF)
  2. Policies for international value chains and trade
  3. Climate policy and the effects on agri-food
  4. The impact of a potential EU enlargement with Ukraine
