This is a closed online debate.
An excellent panel of speakers will discuss recent opinion research among Dutch citizens and scenarios for the future of the transatlantic partnership.
Recently Clingendael's Foreign Affairs Barometer surveyed over 23,000 Dutch citizens on their views on transatlantic ties and European security cooperation.
Speakers
- Rem Korteweg, Senior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute, will present the findings of the Foreign Affairs Barometer on the Dutch views on Transatlantic ties and European security cooperation.
- Bruce Stokes, Fellow at the German Marshall Fund and former Director of Pew Research Center, will discuss the recent publication of the GMF Transatlantic Task Force "Together or alone? Choices and Strategies for Transatlantic Relations for 2021 and Beyond".
- André Haspels, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the United States, based in Washington, will give a first response.
- Stéphane Alonso, journalist at Dutch newspaper NRC Handelsblad, will conclude the debate with a column.
Monika Sie Dhian Ho, general director at the Clingendael Institute will be moderating this debate.
The debate will be organised under the Chatham House Rule.
