NATO Summit: Defence Industry Forum

How can we rapidly strengthen and expand the defence industry?

To address this issue, defence ministers, experts and industry representatives from NATO Allies will convene in The Hague on 24 June 2025 at the NATO Summit Defence Industry Forum (NSDIF), an official side-event/part of the 2025 NATO Summit. The NSDIF will bring together ministers, experts and captains of industry from NATO Allies to discuss how to scale up and reinforce the defence industry at an unprecedented rate.

24 June 

13:28–14:20| Plenary Session Part 1

• Keynote address by Ruben Brekelmans, Minister of Defence of The Netherlands
• Keynote remarks and NATO - EU conversation by Mark Rutte, NATO Secretary General and Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, moderated by Monika Sie Dhian Ho, Director of the Clingendael Institute
• Followed by a keynote speech by Volodymyr Zelensky, President of Ukraine

15:20–17:45 | Plenary Session Part 2 (closed session)

• Moderated panel 1 – Strengthening NATO-Industry and the Transatlantic cooperation. Current needs and actions by NATO, Allies and Industry.
• Moderated panel 2 – Equipping for the present, preparing for the future, with Inge Bryan, member of the Clingendael Supervisory Board
• Closing remarks
