During this lunch lecture dr. Francesco Giumelli, assistant professor at the department of International Relations and International Organisation of the University of Groningen, will present his latest report. This report analyses the impact, costs and options for further action of the international sanctions regime against Russia.

After dr. Giumelli has presented the report’s main findings, Marcel Baartman and Tony van der Togt will present their views on the topic. Marcel Baartman is a senior economist within Clingendael, where he focuses on geostrategic risks for corporates and financial institutions. Tony van der Togt specialises as senior research fellow in  Russian foreign policy, Netherlands-Russia and EU-Russia relations.

Their commentaries will be followed by a discussion that is open to all participants. The event is moderated by Margriet Drent.
