Presentation of Clingendael Report to Dutch Foreign Minister

On Friday 20 November Senior Research Fellow Tony van der Togt (and co-author Iaroslav Kozak) presented the Clingendael report “From Competition to Compatibility. Striking a Eurasian balance in EU-Russia relations” to Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders.

The report is meant to address the issue about whether some form of EU engagement with Russia would still be possible under the present circumstances by entering into a dialogue with the Eurasian Economic Union. Similar questions have recently been raised by President Juncker of the European Commission. Therefore,  the publication of this report seems to have come at exactly the right time.

The report is now available here on the Clingendael website. Clingendael is planning to organise a small seminar on its findings in Brussels on December 11.
