Introduction

Current challenges and critical issues on doing business from and to China

This event is organised by the Customs, International Trade & Regulatory Practice at Kneppelhout & Korthals Advocaten, together with the firm’s China Practice. For further information and registration click here.

China has been playing an ever more important role in international trade, not only as an importer but also as an exporter of technology products. The development and manufacture of these products gradually shifts to China’s mainland. The international trade in technology products between China and the EU is nevertheless regulated from both sides. While the EU is increasing compliance measures on the export of technology products to China, companies are experiencing prohibitions, China also has recognised a growing need to update its current export control legislation and strengthen Chinese enforcement practice.
