One day high level conference on the interlinkage between Democracy and Development.

Each year the SID in the Netherlands organises a series of lectures around a theme of central relevance to the debate and policy making on international cooperation. In the academic year 2006-2007, Democracy and Development was the theme of a very successful and highly debated series. In this conference, an orientation frame for policy implications will be explored for different actors involved in international cooperation: policy makers of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Development Cooperation, non-governmental organizations, research centres, politicians and parliamentarians.
