The Clingendael Institute is organising an expert meeting on ‘The Transition Process in Tunisia and the Serious Challenges Facing the Region’ with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tunisia, H.E. Mr. Khemaies Jhinaoui.

Tunisia is often hailed as the sole success story of the 2011 uprisings known as the Arab Spring. Recent events in Algeria, Libya and Sudan illustrate that the Arab Spring and the calls for political change remain very much alive in the region. What does this mean for Tunisia? What challenges await the region? And what lessons can be drawn from its experiences of  transitioning to democracy?
