Adriaan Schout appointed Professor at Radboud University

Adriaan Schout has been appointed Professor of European Public Administration at the Faculty of Management Sciences of Radboud University in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, since 1 February 2020. Adriaan is Senior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute (since 2008). 

Adriaan Schout combines research and consultancy on European governance questions for national and European institutions. He has worked on projects addressing issues of the EU presidency, EU integration and Improving EU regulation, amongst others.

Plans for research

At Radboud University, Professor Schout will conduct research into, among other things, the role of the European Commission in enforcing agreements and the major differences in the narratives of national governments about European integration. The research will be conducted within the Public Administration chair group, in collaboration with members of the multidisciplinary research group Europeanization of Policy and Law (EUROPAL). Prof. Schout will also play a role in the development of education and PhD research in the field of European integration.
