On March 19, the Clingendael Institute and the Latvian Institute of International Affairs signed an memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen their bilateral ties and to further develop opportunities for joint collaboration in research and events.

Rem Korteweg said: “LIIA is a fantastic partner and working with them will help us deepen our knowledge and understanding of central and eastern Europe in this challenging geopolitical context. Celebrating our strong ties with this agreement, our cooperation will enable us to tap into the latest state-of-the-art thinking on policy dynamics and politics in the region, as well as create opportunities for knowledge exchange.  We very much look forward to working together.”
