Mark Singleton Named New Director of ICCT

THE HAGUE, 5 August 2014 - The International Centre for Counter-Terrorism – The Hague (ICCT) is pleased to announce that Mr. Mark Singleton will start as the new director of ICCT from 1 September 2014.

Mr. Singleton brings more than 25 years of experience in the international peace, security and development sector. He previously was the Acting Head of Mission at Office of the Quartet Representative Tony Blair in Jerusalem. Before this, Mr. Singleton was a Special Advisor at the United Nations Special Coordinator’s Office for the Middle East Peace Process. At the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Singleton held different positions. In Mali he worked as a Country Director for the development organization SNV.

Mr. Singleton will replace the current ICCT Director Mr. Peter Knoope who has headed the Centre since its inception in 2010. 


The International Centre for Counter-Terrorism - The Hague is an independent think tank and knowledge hub that focuses on the prevention and countering of violent extremism and international legal aspects of counter-terrorism.
