Clingendael Academy was recently invited to deliver diplomatic skills training in Bhutan. Director Ron Ton delivered a seminar in international negotiations and a workshop on diplomacy in the 21st century to 28 diplomats of the Bhutanese foreign service. The training was organised in collaboration with the Royal Institute for Governance and Strategic Studies (RIGGS) in Puntsholing.

Staff members also attended a short workshop in capacity building for the development of diplomatic training. Earlier this year Clingendael Academy’s staff also provided training to the MFA of Bhutan.

Clingendael Academy and RIGGS are exploring further cooperation in 2018.
