This week officials from the Dutch Public Prosecutors' Office started an intensive three-day skills training at Clingendael Academy.

The tailor-made programme aims to deepen the international skillset of the professionals, who work to combat organised crime in often-complex international arenas, including on drugs cases, cyber crimescounter terrorism, fraud and  crimes against humanity.

Following an earlier successful edition in January, this second group of officials will focus on strengthening their skills in intercultural communications, international negotiations and effective influencing, within the context of the participant’s reality on the ground and their work processes.

A similar training is currently being developed for a team from the Dutch ministry of Infrastructure & Environment, which underlines the increasing necessity for professionals to operate effectively in international political sensitive arenas.
