Salim Çevik is an associate fellow at the Clingendael Institute. Prior to joining Clingendael, he held researcher and/or teaching positions at at the German Institute for International and Security Affairs (SWP), Columbia University, Istanbul Bilgi University, Ipek University, Lund University and the Free University of Berlin. His main areas of research are religion in politics, Islamist movements, democratisation/autocratisation and Turkish domestic and foreign policy. Dr. Cevik received his Ph.D from the Political Science Department of Bilkent University in 2015.
