Third Van Wittel/Vanvitelli dialogue

On Monday 15 May 2023, thinktanks Clingendael and Istituto Affari Internazionali co-hosted the third edition of the Van Wittel/Vanvitelli dialogue. The bilateral dialogue brought together thinkers, policy makers and business professionals at the World Museum in Rotterdam to discuss ways to cooperate on energy security, open strategic autonomy and fighting international crime. The high-level dialogue included a keynote address by Dutch -now caretaker- Minister of Foreign Affairs Wopke Hoekstra Wopke Hoekstra, and his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani

This event was co-organised with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Netherlands and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy. The event was realised in strategic partnership with the Campagnia di San Paolo Foundation.

Clingendael Director, Monika Sie was quoted:

“We live in an era of transitions. Italy and the Netherlands have much more in common than what divides us. Let's strive for more effective policies.”
