Tom de Bruijn new Chairman Supervisory Board

We are pleased to announce that Tom de Bruijn has been appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of our Institute per 1 March 2019. 

Th. J.A.M. (Tom) de Bruijn MA (1948) previously served as deputy Mayor of The Hague responsible for Finance, Mobility and the Environment. Before that he was State Councillor at the Council of State (Raad van State) and held several positions at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was inter alia Director-General for European Cooperation and the Netherlands’ Permanent Representative to the European Union in Brussels.

Tom de Bruijn studied Political Science in Geneva, War Studies at King’s College in London and read Law at Utrecht University.

Tom de Bruijn already was Vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Clingendael Institute. As Chairman he succeeds Paul van der Heijden.
