Mark Meijers is an Academy Programme Fellow specializing in international security and diplomacy. Since 2020, he has coordinated training courses for Dutch and international professionals in the security sector, including for the Netherlands Ministry of Defence, the Ministry of the Interior, and the Dutch National Police. Mark regularly designs and delivers training on crisis management and communication, disinformation, public speaking, and diplomatic skills.
He has also coordinated trainings to a diverse range of international professionals, including representatives of regional organisations such as ASEAN, ambassadors from the Middle East and North Africa, and diplomats from Latin America and the Caribbean. Mark also has experience delivering capacity building initiatives and training programmes abroad, including in Indonesia, North Macedonia, and Bulgaria.
Within the Clingendael Academy, Mark serves as one of the intern coordinators, supporting interns’ personal and professional development through coaching and regular feedback. He holds a BA in International Relations and International Organizations from the University of Groningen and an MSc in Crisis and Security Management from Leiden University.
