Jan-Hein Chrisstoffels
Jan-Hein’s research interests focus on Europe’s changing security posture - including that in the realm of cyber and hybrid - in a time of geopolitical realignments.
Jan-Hein previously served at the Netherlands Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Economic Affairs in a variety of roles at headquarters and abroad. His career includes tours in both the domestic economic- and international security policy communities, which equips him to include insights from both into the analysis of international affairs. Before entering government service, Jan-Hein worked in journalism, and at the Clingendael Institute, where he published on the geoeconomics of international energy markets.
Jan-Hein holds an MA in Economics from the University of Amsterdam and an MA in Japanese Language and Culture from Leiden University
