Dutch Civil Servants strengthen negotiation skills within EU context

On Tuesday 16 December 2025, we had the honour of welcoming the Danish Ambassador to the Netherlands, H.E. Ulf Melgaard, to Clingendael as the closing speaker of this year’s final edition of our EU flagship EU training “Insight into Europe”. 

This four-day course, specifically tailored for Dutch civil servants, focuses on deepening participants’ knowledge of the functioning of the European Union. During the training days, participants strengthen their negotiation skills within the EU context, allowing participants to navigate the Brussels ‘maze’. Ambassador Melgaard shared his valuable insights on the Danish EU Council Presidency with us, which is nearing its conclusion on 31 December. We thank the Ambassador for his interesting and engaging contribution.
