How do you successfully navigate your work in an international and intercultural environment? What pitfalls do you need to take into account and how does culture influence the process of communication? These are some of the issues that a diverse group of professionals delved into during Clingendael Academy’s open enrolment course on Intercultural Communication.

During this three-day course from 28 February to 1 March, participants were introduced to the PACIS model of Intercultural Capacity to acquire the knowledge and skills to effectively navigate between different cultural contexts. Through various learning interventions such as case studies, role plays and self-reflective exercises, participants were able to directly apply intercultural theory to practice. We thank this dedicated group of professionals for their active participation and insights, which helped to increase the learning experience of all participants.
