EU simulation game for master students
17 Feb 2014 - 15:43

Last Friday 14 February a group of 42 students following the Masters International Public Management and Policy at Erasmus University Rotterdam played an EU simulation game in the field of Foreign Affairs. It was a multicultural group with students coming from Kazakhstan, Cyprus, United States, Bulgaria, Italy, Brazil, Germany, Slovakia, Denmark and the Netherlands. The students had prepared their mandates and opening positions in duos beforehand and were very well prepared. The chair of the meeting already had some prior experience with the Model United Nations and managed together with his team to achieve a substantive result.

The students really enjoyed doing such a practical exercise. One of them saying “the most practice oriented part of our studies so far.” Another student: “I enjoyed playing the game. It gave me real insight in EU decision-making.”
