Paul Hendrix has been working as Training and Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute since April 2015. In this capacity, he is responsible for the coordination of training programmes for Dutch and foreign professionals. In addition to this, he regularly provides training sessions on intercultural communication and the analysis of armed conflict, as well contributing regularly to capacity building projects with partner organizations. His current focus lies with the didactic development and modernization of the Clingendael Academy’s curriculum.
Prior to working at the Clingendael Institute, from 2009 onwards, Paul worked as an independent filmmaker and –teacher in India, the Palestinian territories, Peru and the Netherlands. In cooperation with socially isolated communities, he made films on a variety of topics, ranging from civil strife to ecorestoration.
Paul holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University, and is a M.Ed. certified bilingual teacher of History, and is an internationally certified Intercultural Communications trainer. During his studies, Paul did research in Spain (2004), the United States (2007), and Peru (2008), and taught at an international school in Wrocław, Poland (2015).
