On the 5th of December 2022, the Clingendael Institute welcomed Shalva Papuashvili, chairman of the parliament of Georgia for an expert discussion. 

During this afternoon, Mr. Papuashvili discussed Georgia's European choice with the audience, as well as EU reforms agenda, Georgian politics, geopolitics and the consequences of the war in Ukraine for regional security in the South Caucasus, and the role of the EU. The discussion was led by Clingendael Senior Researcher Bob Deen, who has just returned from a research trip to Tbilisi and the wider region.

The discussion was followed by an informal reception with Georgian wine and bites.
