The Embassy of Ireland in the Netherlands, the Clingendael Institute and the Ireland Netherlands Business Association (INBA) were delighted to host an invitation-only panel discussion on the Geopolitics of the Euro.

On the occasion of Europe Day, we organised a ‘Future of Europe Event’ on 11 May 2022 with Professor Brigid Laffan. Prof. Laffan is Emeritus Professor at the European University Institute and a leading expert on European Affairs, and delivered the 2022 Annual T.M.C. Asser Lecture on 10 May. After welcoming remarks by H.E. Mr. Brendan Rogers, Ambassador of Ireland to the Netherlands, we engaged in a panel discussion on the international role of the Euro, the ongoing war in Ukraine and the effects of Brexit on Ireland, moderated by Rem Korteweg, Senior Research Fellow at the Clingendael Institute.
