Clingendael Academy organised the fifth training on negotiation, mediation and strategy for the Libyan Women Network for Peacebuilding (LWNP) in Tunis. The LWNP is a network of women representing a broad spectrum of conflict-affected Libya, created in 2019 with the support of UN Women.
During three days, the women shared success stories on implementing the lessons from previous trainings in their daily contexts, reflected on trust building and inclusion of women in peace processes, and applied Clingendael’s tool for strategic decision-making to define the network’s ambition and design and prioritise its work.
This training complemented four earlier trainings Clingendael Academy conducted for the LWNP together with UN Women on negotiation and mediation, including a training of trainers. All trainings were developed to increase the capacities of women peacebuilders in Libya to sustainably contribute to conflict resolution in their communities.
