Luca Kroese is Academy Project Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. In this capacity, Luca coordinates and develops projects for diverse groups of diplomats and practitioners. His work focuses on peacebuilding, conflict resolution and climate diplomacy, with a particular interest in how climate change shapes conflict dynamics and peace processes.

Before joining Clingendael, Luca worked at Tropenbos International, where he supported capacity-building across the organisation’s global network. In this role, he contributed to programmes on community forest management and environmental peacebuilding. 

Luca holds a Bachelor’s degree in Human Geography, Urban Planning and Environment from the Radboud University in Nijmegen. He subsequently completed a Master’s in Conflict, Territories & Identities and an Advanced Master’s in International Development (Global Challenges), both at the Radboud University in Nijmegen.
