Katrin Müller is a Research Fellow in the Security Unit at the Clingendael Institute, where she primarily works on the Resilience Programme. Her research focuses on Dutch citizens’ attitudes and perceptions regarding international developments, security, and foreign policy.

She holds a PhD in Sociology from Radboud University, a Research Master in Social Sciences from the University of Amsterdam, and a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Utrecht University. Her doctoral research focused on ethno-racial majority perceptions of discrimination against ethno-racial minorities in Europe. Katrin has published in several international peer-reviewed journals.

Prior to joining Clingendael, she worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Radboud University, where she investigated crisis perceptions and international solidarity. She has taught courses on research methods, interethnic attitudes, and safety and security issues at various Dutch universities.
