The Clingendael Institute has the pleasure of hosting a public lecture by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq, MrMohamed Ali Alhakim, entitled 'Iraq in the Middle East: Battleground or Bridge builder?' 

Iraq in the Middle East: Battleground or Bridge builder?

The Minister will focus on discussing the political, economic and security priorities for the partnership between Iraq and EU contries, Iraq's foreign policy to enhance the relationship with its neighbouring countries, as well as the measures taken by the Iraqi government to be a bridge builder in order to avoid becoming a battleground.

After the Minister's keynote there will be ample opportunity for questions and answers.
