Jelle van Schaik works as an Academy Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. He joined Clingendael in July 2020. His area of expertise is in the field of international security and diplomatic practice.
Before joining Clingendael, Jelle coordinated a Global Studies programme at the Gymnasium of Utrecht and was active as a trainer for the Utrecht University MUN team. In addition, he gained experience interning at the Security Policy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he worked on non-proliferation, disarmament and nuclear affairs. Jelle also worked for the Ghana Capital Partners Foundation, an English NGO active in the field of sustainable development.
He holds a Masters Degree in International Relations and a Bachelors degree in History, both from Utrecht University.
