Xiaoxue Martin is a Research Fellow at the Clingendael China Centre and the EU & Global Affairs Unit. Her work focuses on the contemporary politics and international relations of Greater China, in particular Hong Kong and Taiwan affairs, and China’s relations with the US and the EU.

Xiaoxue completed her BA in International Relations and Economics at University College Maastricht, Maastricht University, and holds a Research MA in Asian Studies and an MA in International Relations from Leiden University. Prior to becoming a Junior Researcher, Xiaoxue studied abroad at National Taiwan University and the Chinese University of Hong Kong, and interned at the Dutch Consulate General in Guangzhou as well as the Clingendael China Centre.
