Last week the second edition of the training programme on cooperation between the EU and the Indo-Pacific kicked-off. This online programme welcomes both diplomats from the region as well as representative of EU member states. The course aims to offer the participants a range of tools – both skills and knowledge – to help strengthen the relations between countries of the Indo-Pacific and the EU. Topics such as digital connectivity, security and EU foreign policy are discussed. Experts meetings, interviews and lectures are paired with scenario building workshops and intercultural cooperation workshops, allowing the participants to bring the knowledge obtained into practice through these interactive online learning methods. The overall goal is to provide diplomats from the Indo-Pacific the opportunity to share perceptions on important issues and challenges for their region with diplomats and representatives from the EU, exploring ways to work together to address these challenges.
