Maxime Voorbraak is Academy Fellow in the Diplomacy Programme. She coordinates diplomatic programmes and develops trainings for diplomats and other international professionals.
Her main focuses are on effective influencing, specifically interpersonal persuasion and related cognitive processes, alongside the geopolitical and diplomatic implications of Artificial Intelligence.
She has delivered trainings to a diverse cohort of professionals worldwide, including diplomats from Bhutan, Indonesia, Pakistan, and South Africa, as well as officials from international organizations such as ASEAN and the African Union. Her work further extends to professionals in security institutions, corporate environments, and (international) NGOs.
Before joining Clingendael, Maxime worked at the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the climate diplomacy, and subsequently humanitarian affairs teams. She holds a BSc in Law and MA in International Relations from Utrecht University.
