Paul Hendrix has been working at the Clingendael Academy since April 2015. In this capacity, he is responsible for the coordination of training programmes for Dutch and foreign professionals from the security sector. In addition to this, he regularly provides training sessions on the analysis of armed conflict and (countering) disinformation campaigns, as well contributing regularly to capacity building projects with partner organizations.

Prior to working at the Clingendael Institute, from 2009 onwards, Paul worked as an independent filmmaker and –teacher in India, Peru and the Netherlands. In cooperation with socially isolated communities, he made films on a variety of topics, ranging from civil strife to ecorestoration.

Paul holds a Master’s degree in Conflict Studies and Human Rights from Utrecht University, and is a M.Ed. certified bilingual teacher of History, and is an internationally certified Intercultural Communications trainer. During his studies, Paul did research in Spain (2004), the United States (2007), and Peru (2008), and taught at an international school in Wrocław, Poland (2015).
