Frederiek Bax works as Outreach and Strategic Partnerships Fellow at the Clingendael Institute. In her role, she operates as a project officer, leading and co-leading flagship events, strategic advisor and external engagement coordinator, cultivating institutional partnerships across government, think tanks and international organisations. She was involved in the organisation of the NATO Public Forum in June 2025, served as Clingendael project lead for the Next Gen Security Conference The Hague, and works alongside the Clingendael-led International Expert group on potential peace negotiations for Ukraine and Russia.
Frederiek holds a BA in International Relations and International Organization and a BA in Philosophy of a Specific Discipline, both from the University of Groningen. Next to her work at Clingendael, she graduated from an MA in Military Strategic Studies (Intelligence & Security track) at the Netherlands Defence Academy. She previously worked as an intern for the Strategic Initiatives & Outreach Unit.
