Wouter Zweers is a Research Fellow with Clingendael´s EU-research unit. His work mainly revolves around the external dimension of EU policy making, focussing on the Eastern dimension of the European Neighbourhood Policy, EU-Russia relations and EU relations with the Western Balkans. Wouter furthermore regularly writes about EU migration policies and intra-EU policy issues. He is motivated in his work by a firm belief in the power of sound policymaking to transform societies and enable them to prosper.

Wouter holds a BA in European Studies from the University of Amsterdam and a MA in International Public Management and Policy from the Erasmus University Rotterdam. Prior to becoming a Research Fellow at Clingendael, he worked as a Research Assistant for the institute.
