Lila Kasi joined the Clingendael Institute as an Academy Project Fellow in February 2023. She develops, coordinates and teaches training programmes for different audiences, including foreign diplomats, humanitarians and other professionals working internationally. Her main substantive focus is on intercultural communication.

Prior to joining the Clingendael Institute, Lila worked as project manager of youth participation projects at a local Dutch NGO. Working in an ethnically and culturally diverse context, she is experienced in working with and training people from diverse backgrounds.

Lila holds a Cum Laude MA in International Relations from Leiden University. She placed her academic focus upon the intersections of (the history of) international human rights, gender and ethnicity. In addition, she holds a BA in International Studies from Leiden University, as well as a minor in Gender and Sexuality in Society and Culture. During her studies, she worked at girls’ and women’s rights NGOs Plan International and Free a Girl in Communications and Advocacy.
