Aline de la Croix joined the Clingendael Institute as an Academy Project Fellow in September 2023. As a member of the Clingendael Peace Negotiation Programme and the Clingendael Cyber team, her expertise lies with countering Disinformation and Foreign Information Manipulation and Interference (FIMI), in the context of (violent) conflict and peace mediation. She combines this expertise in trainings on the themes of Countering Disinformation and FIMI, Conflict Analysis and the Cyber Threat Landscape.

Aline has worked with local peace mediators from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in Yemen and South Sudan, addressing the impact of Disinformation and FIMI on mediation efforts during conflict. Furthermore, she has collaborated with the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) and the Bulgarian Diplomatic Institute on the role of Disinformation and FIMI during election processes.

Aline holds a BSc in International Relations, with a minor in Safety, Security and Justice, and a MSc in Crisis and Security Management. Within her MSc she specialized in the Governance of Radicalism, Extremism and Counterterrorism.
